Boeings Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and Measurement Systems team is seeking an Associate and Mid-Level Measurement Engineers to join our team in Tukwila Washington.

The Puget Sound NDE and Measurement Systems is an Engineering Team responsible for supporting design development production programs and In-Service. The team provides certification and qualification services across the value stream for NDE and Measurement. The team works on commercial and defense aircraft like : KC-46 B1B and P-8 as well as development programs such as SLS CST-100 777X and MQ-25. The team also conducts research and development with internal stakeholders and external customers. This team spans the entire product life cycle from research and development to active airframe support.

This team supports diverse non-destructive evaluation and measurement technology applications for commercial and defense products produced or supported by the Boeing Company. There is an opportunity to experience different business unit needs and support a diverse selection of commercial and defense aircraft in different phases of their production lifecycle. By working on this team an individual is able to impact programs across the enterprise and have an opportunity to grow a broad network across all of Boeing.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences and be a self-starter. There must be a desire to do non-destructive evaluation work and have a general base of NDE knowledge and / or addition understanding of basic analysis techniques to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools materials parts or processes will be required. Experience in writing NDE inspection procedures is strongly valued.

Position Responsibilities :

• Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections
• Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
• Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs
• Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
• Assists with development and qualification of new tools equipment materials parts and processes to meet requirements
• Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
• Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Uses project management tools to meet cost technical and schedule requirements
• Incorporates environmental health and safety LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes (2) research design and qualification (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas

Summary pay range for Associate-Level (level 2) : $94350 - $127650

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3) : $114750 - $155250
