At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.
In this role, you will work directly with one of our clients, implementing the sustainability program across the relevant Americas portfolio. The role will report into the JLL's Sustainability Consulting organization and dotted-line report to JLL account leadership in a matrixed organization. Key role responsibilities include development, implementation, and management of the energy management program that incorporates energy savings, carbon reduction, and utilities cost management.
This position is hybrid with a requirement to be on site 3-5 days / week on client directive (Round Rock, TX). What this job involves :
Key responsibilities include :
- Develop and execute energy management and strategy.
- Implement energy programs to reach objectives.
- Support corporate reporting objectives and provide management information relating to the use of utilities and the impact on the internal and external environment.
- Manage the energy, waste, and water data collection process within JLL's and client technology platforms and produce monthly and quarterly reports that are tailored to meet our clients' specific requirements.
- Drive operational improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve energy performance across extensive real estate portfolios.
- Collaborate with other JLL energy managers to share best practices, develop case studies and develop new business opportunities.
- Engage with JLL facility managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of environmental sustainability.
- Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of utility / sustainability management systems for monitoring and / or reporting purposes.

Requirements Essential
3-5+ years energy management experienceCertified Energy Manager (CEM) CertificationUniversity Degree (Science, engineering, math or related fields)Technical understanding of the most common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systemsIn-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measuresExperienced with benchmarking and analyzing utility data to drive sustainability measuresIn-depth understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reportingAbility to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensusRequirements Desirable
Experience conducting site walkthroughs in order to find conservation measures (e.g. ASHRAE Level 1 and 2)Strong project management skills and an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high pressure, deadline driven environmentExperience in the preparation of tenders and work orders and the ability to select appropriate equipment and service vendorsKnowledge of environmental reporting, utility management and energy budgets, an environmental improvement program, and ISO 14001 complianceFamiliarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy optionsBehavioral Competencies
