Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technical Designer III. An Industrial Mechanical Technical Designer III will apply engineering techniques to design and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

Bulk material handlingProcess pipingConveyance equipmentDust collectionChute fabrication drawingsTank / bin designRotating equipmentEquipment platforms / catwalksFamiliarity with MSHA standards and other related industrial process design parameters is highly desired. Design or construction experience in Design / Build and EPC project delivery methods is desirable.
Project responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Responsible for document organization and clarityResponsible for discipline drawing coordinationDevelop design options for resolution of system conflictsDevelop proposals and project reportsMonitor individual performance relative to project budget and scheduleCoordinate work product with other disciplinesAdhere to project budget and scheduleTravel up to 20%Required Skills
Performing various design services as an engineer, including Conceptual Studies, Process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mass balance, calculations, equipment selection, instrument selection and general arrangements for bulk material handling, process piping, conveyance equipment detail shop drawings, dust collection, chute fabrication drawings, tank / bin design, and equipment platforms / catwalks with minimal direction from supervising staff.Coordinating and communicating all aspects of industrial and mechanical design within multi-disciplinary teams as requested by the Design Manager or Project Engineer.Developing project schematic designs, design development designs, and construction documentsComplying with quality control policies and proceduresProviding support services during the bidding process, , preparing addenda, amendments, attend pre-bid meetings, open bids, tabulate bids, technical bid analysis, etc.Performing construction phase services including representing the firm on-site, answering RFI’s, reviewing shop drawings, preparing as-builts, etc. as directedWorking with, responding to, and taking direction from senior engineers and project managersPossess excellent communication skillsPossess technical precision and creative design skillsHave a client-oriented attitude with a desire to provide outstanding professional servicesBe dedicated to his or her professional development as well as the success of colleagues and the firm as a wholeRequired Experience
Must have graduated from an ABET-accredited 4-, 5-, or 6-year engineering program ideally in a field of study related to mechanical engineering.Should be able to effectively utilize current company software programs for word processing, e-mail, and information management. Working familiarity with design and production software to a point of being able to utilize the software in the development of project documents and interact with other project team members in their use of the software is highly desirable. Specific software includes : Microsoft Office AutoCAD Revit BIMAn Industrial Mechanical Technical Designer III should typically have 8-12 years of significant design and practice experience with an Industrial firm or multi-discipline Architectural & Engineering firmWorking Conditions

The selected candidate is expected to work in a JMT office location at least three days per week or as needed to perform assigned duties.
