Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Technician to provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot IT-related incidents, and ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of computer and network hardware, along with experience in software installation and configuration. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high level of IT support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective IT support to employees, addressing technical issues and inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT incidents to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues in collaboration with senior IT staff or external vendors.
  • Install, configure, and update business-critical software applications while ensuring compliance with licensing policies.
  • Track, manage, and maintain hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Configure and maintain IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance while troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Implement and uphold security measures to protect company data and IT assets, including access control policies.
  • Conduct IT training sessions to enhance employees’ technological proficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of IT incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
  • Prepare reports on IT activities, incidents, and performance metrics.
  • Regularly audit IT systems and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform additional IT-related duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist and educate employees on IT-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing IT challenges.
  • Ability to travel between Austin and Houston
