Newborn Hospitalist PNP Opportunity in North Dallas

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a pediatric nurse practitioner to work with our newborn hospitalist group in Dallas! Our group is a part of a team that includes in-house neonatologists along with our affiliated group of neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, MFMs and pediatric surgeons who provide comprehensive newborn services at multiple hospitals.

Details :

• Provide 10-hour, in-house coverage in the newborn nursery, no call requirements
• Responsibilities include admissions and management of infants in the newborn nursery, delivery attendance, transitional care, circumcisions and consultations with families
• Provide Level-I to Level-II newborn care at Methodist Richardson Medical Center where there is an average daily census between 10-15 babies, Dallas Regional Medical Center - ADC 8 to 10, Texas Health Hospital Plano - ADC 12 to 17
• Neonatologist assistance / backup is provided as needed and in all high-risk situations
• Flexibility with interest in learning and a desire to teach are highly valued
• Opportunity to participate in education and quality improvement initiatives
