Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS / SaaS Platform)

First Due a leading public safety software company is searchin g for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help lead the evolution of our mission-critical SaaS platform. This role will drive strategic cloud infrastructure projects on AWS enhance system reliability and ensure our services scale seamlessly as we grow. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a strategic mindset helping shape the future of our cloud and data architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and execute strategic infrastructure initiatives across AWS to ensure scalability security and reliability of our production systems.
• Design build and maintain core infrastructure services including networking compute storage and CI / CD pipelines supporting a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Develop and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and early detection of issues.
• Improve observability through better logging metrics and tracing to drive faster root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure supports fast safe deployments and high uptime SLAs.
• Assist in defining and executing the cloud infrastructure roadmap including long-term scalability cost optimization and automation goals.
• Own and optimize PostgreSQL database operations while also evaluating and recommending future data storage and management technologies (e.g. NoSQL managed data services or distributed databases).
• Enhance disaster recovery high availability and incident response strategies for critical services.
• Contribute to security posture improvements including IAM design encryption network security and compliance alignment.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices for infrastructure-as-code automation and cloud governance.
