• Other Details : The assignment involves working in an ambulatory hematology / oncology clinic focusing primarily on benign hematology, following up with and seeing new patients, writing orders and prescriptions, and communicating with the pharmacy. The provider will work alongside nurses, navigators, administrative staff, pharmacists, one to two physicians, APPs, and infusion specialists. The average patient load is a minimum of 15 hematology patients per day in an inpatient setting. The role requires board certification in hematology or oncology (both preferred), an active state medical license, DEA, BLS certification, and at least two to three years of experience. The EMR used is EPIC, and an assessment must be completed before the start date. The schedule runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday, with occasional weekend and infrequent call coverage. Credentialing typically takes 60 to 90 days.
