Systems Engineer Consultant

Paradigm is seeking a Systems Engineer Consultant for a short-term, onsite engagement to help refresh and migrate a critical fill service that acts as an intermediary between our barcode database and filling PLCs. The current system is running on Windows XP and must be migrated to Windows 11.

This role will require interpreting legacy code, collaborating with IT and HR to understand functional requirements, and working with control application environments such as Kepware / KepServer and Genbroker.

Type : 4 - 6 weeks contract

• Analyze and troubleshoot the existing label printing software to restore functionality.
• Review and interpret custom applications interfacing with BarTender.
• Ensure proper integration between updated systems and BarTender software.
• Identify and resolve compatibility and licensing issues during the migration.
• Provide clear documentation of the current codebase and system architecture.
• Recommend and implement a long-term solution for the fill service and label printing system.
• Work with the IT Manager to ensure scalability and long-term viability of the solution.
