RN Intermediate Care (2E)

Travel candidates only (Must be 50 miles outside of facility)

Dysrhythmia exam needed (Study guide available in Simplify Library)

BLS and ACLS required

Experience with Critical thinking, communication skills, time management, electronic documentation, oxygen therapy, medication administration, wound care / dressing changes, vital signs, IV insertion, NG tube management, recognizing early signs of deterioration required

Experience with Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation, ACLS, knowledge of cardiac drips preferred

2 years recent experience required

Travel experience preferred

Will float to other MS / Tele units

12 HR Days- Expected to work every other weekend and holiday

ITO interview

Unit Specific Details

29 beds, capability to go to 37 (8 semi-private rooms)

Ratios are 1 : 3-5

Support staff :  PCTs and HUC

Equipment :  Telemetry monitors, wound vac, warming blankets, IV pumps, PCA pumps

Patient population :  CKD, DM, CHF, UTI, GI bleeds, respiratory failure / COPD / pneumonia, sepsis, etc

Systems aside from EPIC :  PerfectServe, Dimension s
