Responsibilities

Job description :

The infusion / wound care nurse is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with wounds and those requiring infusion therapy in the home. This role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Wound Assessment and Management :

• Conduct thorough assessments of wounds, including wound, appearance, size, depth, and characteristics.
• Identify factors contributing to delayed wound healing and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Cleanse and dress wounds as prescribed, while using aseptic techniques.
• Apply dressings, topical medications, and other wound care products as prescribed.
• Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly and educate patients on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and signs of complications.
