MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-focused Linux System Administrator to join our team in Southlands, Colorado .
This position supports the ELINT Modernization effort and is part of a collaborative team delivering systems engineering, software development, testing, and configuration management services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Manage IT infrastructure and ensure system availability and performance
- Perform day-to-day system monitoring, operations, and problem resolution
- Diagnose and resolve issues at Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levels
- Configure and manage UNIX / Linux operating systems and install / load OS software
- Optimize system operations and perform resource utilization and capacity analysis
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and service restoration procedures
- Update and migrate servers to newer software versions
- Implement OS enhancements to improve system reliability and performance
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience; an additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degreeSecurity+ certificationExperience with troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT systemsExperience managing and optimizing UNIX / Linux environments (installation, patching, performance tuning)Experience providing incident identification, analysis, and resolutionExperience with executing security backups, recovery, and OS enhancement tasksExperience with updating and migrating servers and servicesExperience with maintaining detailed records, technical documentation, and change logsPreferred Qualifications :
