LifePoint is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Athens, Tennessee.

Job Title : Travel Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) Location : Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens, TN Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care across emergency and critical care settings, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and be confident working independently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
  • Provide respiratory support in ER and critical care settings
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

    • Must Have Skills / Experience :

  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable being the only Respiratory Therapist on shift
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in ER and critical care settings

    • Preferred Skillset / Experience :

  • Previous RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) experience

    • Required Certifications :

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
