Job Title : Central Sterile Processing Technician

Location : Shreveport, LA 71103

Duration : 3 months+ contract

Shift : 22 : 30 pm - 07 : 00 am

Job Description :

This job directs, plans, and coordinates the activities of the sterile processing department to meet patient care demands. Manages inventory levels of the Operating Room (OR) supplies, ensures proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment, and manages resources and personnel in the sterile processing department. Oversees productivity and quality of performance for sterile processing care team members and ensures inventory supply levels are appropriate to provide patient care functions without disruption while being at the most cost beneficial level to the organization.

Job Duties :

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required.
• Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging.
• Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs.
• Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage.
• Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment.

Required Skills & Experience :

Required : 3 years of experience working with and leading teams.

Required : CRCST, CIS, CBSPD

Preferred : 2 years of experience in sterile processing.

Preferred : Experience working as a scrub tech or surgical tech in a hospital.
