Scheduler - Colorado PACE

Colorado PACE has an immediate need for a Scheduler.

LOCATION : Aurora, CO

STATUS : Full-time

SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

PAY RANGE : $20.75 - $24.38

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY : Based on position, schedule and / or availability : Paid Mileage / Overtime

MILEAGE AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT : Sixty-two and a half cents per mile one of the highest in the industry!

REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO :

The purpose of this position is to provide support to clinical staff by scheduling appointments through the whole process (i.e. transportation, escorts, assistance getting ready, etc.) and other administrative duties as needed. This position is responsible for following organizational policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES : People :

  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with participants and families from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Uses effective communication skills to communicate with referral sources, participants, caregivers, and coworkers.
  • Uses interpersonal skills that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
  • Maintains flexibility in scheduling and responds to unexpected patient care needs and changes in workload and location of work as directed.
  • Plans and coordinates daily routes and scheduling activities related to transportation.
  • Service :

  • Schedules appointments in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates all necessary records to ensure timely requests of referrals.
  • Answers phone calls and emails timely.
  • Schedules appointments for client consults, procedures, and visits with medical providers
  • Resolves scheduling changes / conflicts timely and in real time as they occur.
  • Enters referrals for authorizations, documents all communications, actions, and other data in the participant's electronic medical record.
  • Acts responsibly to perform job duties on a consistent basis.
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and timely performs administrative tasks : answering telephones, updating and filing medical records and scheduling appointments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in other areas of the Colorado PACE organization as may be needed.

  • Manages time effectively to include meetings, continuing education, and documentation of delivery of care.
  • Articulates and consistently uses Standard Precautions in all contacts with clients.
  • Provides input into evaluation of the effectiveness of care.
  • Participates in departmental and / or agency-wide quality improvement activities.

  • Completes mandatory annual educational requirements.

  • Utilizes company resources in a prudent and appropriate manner. Is a good steward of company resources.
  • WHAT WE ARE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience. Current Medical Assistant Certification or C.N.A. License preferred.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License and proof of Auto Insurance in accordance with state statute.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to lift / carry a minimum of 30 lbs.
