Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Universal Institute, with programs established to help individuals who have been affected by traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities and other neurological disorders, is seeking an NJ licensed and ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist to join its rehab team and provide an uncompromising level of intensive and individualized rehabilitation in its highly charged positive environment.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve communication skills
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding communication strategies and techniques
- Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferredStrong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disordersExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary teamThe available position is full time and CFs are welcome to apply.
