Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Engineer to support the migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS Cloud database platforms. The ideal candidate will also provide occasional support for our GCP infrastructure platform. This role requires a strong understanding of various IT subject areas, infrastructure technologies, and application development methodologies.

Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience in a DBA role, configuring and supporting a wide range of database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
• 5+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Focus is to migrate databases from on-prem to AWS environment - Oracle and SQL server databases being migrated

Re-architecture optimizing databases as they move to the cloud

Ideally someone that can work hybrid (10 days amount onsite) in Madison lots of collaboration on the team

Migrate SQL to Postgres SQL in the cloud

GCP experience a nice to have
