Data Architect It

The Data Architect IT will play a critical role in shaping and executing our enterprise data strategy to support operational excellence, innovation, and a connected employee experience across our North American manufacturing footprint.
This hybrid role is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing our data architecture and systems, while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in data platforms and integration, along with a collaborative mindset and a passion for enabling teams through accessible, secure, and actionable data.
Key responsibilities include :
- Leading the design and implementation of scalable data architecture, including data warehousing, modeling, and integration strategies.
- Managing and optimizing our Snowflake data warehouse environment to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
- Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools such as FiveTran, Boomi, and Mulesoft to support seamless data flow across systems.
- Serving as Product Owner for Power BI and other enterprise analytics tools, enabling self-service reporting and insights across departments.
- Designing and supporting MS SQL server environments responsible for configuration, monitoring, optimization, security, backup, and recovery.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teamsincluding HR, Operations, and Financeto understand data needs and deliver solutions that support strategic decision-making.
- Aligning or establishing and enforcing data governance policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
- Maintaining documentation of data models, dictionaries, and system mappings to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our data capabilities.
Qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred.An equivalent combination of education and / or related work experience equal to 6 years in data architecture, data engineering, or related IT roles will be considered.2 years leadership experience preferred.Proven experience with Snowflake, MS SQL, Power BI, and ETL tools (e.g., FiveTran, Boomi, and Mulesoft).Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and cybersecurity best practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.Experience in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment is a plus.BraunAbility is an equal opportunity employer.
