Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 1, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. DGOC’s parent company is Diversified Energy Company PLC. POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITES : DEC is creating a new department for statement automation. This new department will be responsible for assimilating and creating digital information for all statement data at Diversified Energy. The strategic objective of this new team is to provide a comprehensive evaluation of statement data across the production accounting, marketing, revenue and accounting departments and create an internal single source of statement data that will be used by the production accounting, marketing revenue and account teams during the month end close process. The goal is to improve the data quality, streamline the data entry process, and provide better and more proactive analytics. This position will lead the statement automation project and daily operations once the project is complete. A good understanding of oil & gas production statements, marketing statements and pipeline statements is required, along with a process improvement and technical aptitude.

This new position will report to the Director of Production Accounting. Statement management

  • Responsible for the standard interpretation / business rules for each 3rd party statement information
  • Interface directly with Natural Gas and Crude Purchasers with statement corrections or requested changes.
  • Managing the timely and completeness of all 3rd party monthly statements.
  • Manage the necessary functions to ensure data accuracy and availability for all departments.
  • Ability to learn, reconcile, and interpret Purchaser Statements and associated data statements.
  • Work with other departments on any additional needs tied to inbound data.

Automation management

  • Work with multiple departments on the needs of the automation team.
  • Manage and create new automation processes for data consumption and distribution to multiple departments.
  • Drive performance, efficiency, and process improvement by utilizing automation within the company.
  • Support Management in multiple automation and analytical initiatives.

    • Month-end close management

  • Responsible for overseeing a team of automation analysts and processes to move data from raw format to all downstream systems on a daily and weekly basis as statements are received from 3rd party.
  • Own data quality and completeness every month
  • Provide approved data for month-end close for production accounting, marketing and revenue.

    • Software :

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency levels for Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • DOMO, Enertia, Flow-Cal, FIS Align is a plus

    • POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College; Previous experience in any related field / industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to work on multiple issues with varying deadlines across multiple functional areas in addition an ability to prioritize issues to ensure work tasks meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and strong ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and formal written correspondence.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Previous leadership roles are a plus.
  • Experience with SQL script writing and SQL databases is a plus.
  • Experience with any automation development.
