The Director Medical Knowledge and Training will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our global medical safety strategy. This position requires a transformational leader with exceptional critical thinking and a profound understanding of medical affairs operations. This position is located in Fort Worth, TX.

A typical day will include :

  • Overseeing and leading a diverse distributed team to ensure the effective execution of key initiatives.
  • Optimizing Medical Dashboards, leading GMA Training programs, generating actionable insights, and producing comprehensive Competitive Intelligence reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to drive innovation and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Formulating and implementing the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Congress planning and Share of Voice strategy, ensuring alignment with GMA goals and overall strategy.
  • Implementing and maintaining oversight and governance of a compliant, globally aligned Congress Planning and Share of Voice infrastructure.
  • Ensuring oversight and governance of globally aligned metrics, qualitative analytics, and reporting infrastructure. Leading tools, systems, and processes to enable GMA teams to operate compliantly and effectively.
  • Designing and leading comprehensive training programs for Global Medical Affairs personnel, including the implementation of certification processes.
  • Compiling and communicating detailed reports on competitive activities and trends, focusing on all three Alcon franchises and Tier 1 Congresses as identified by GMA and the Head of Alcon R&D.

What you'll bring to Alcon :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; Bach. +10yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
