Northeastern University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and documenting our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, protocols, and technologies, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.
This role is hybrid and in the office a minimum of three days a week to facilitate collaboration and teamwork. In-office presence is an essential part of our on-campus culture and allows for engaging directly with staff and students, sharing ideas, and contributing to a dynamic work environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop architectures across all services and platforms that coherently interoperate as a single ecosystem across all campuses for the following services :
Network security technologies 20%
Develop architecturally integrated network security technologies and mitigation approaches that meet policies solicited from the Information Security Office. Integrate those policy requirements into a university-wide network architecture and design standard which may include network hardware such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Migration Plans 20%
Network Solutions 20%
