Our client, a national leader in fire, life safety, and security services, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to support their growing design team. This is a critical role responsible for producing detailed fire sprinkler layouts and ensuring systems meet all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and motivated by safety-driven work.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and draft fire sprinkler systems, including standpipes, fire pumps, foam systems, and underground piping

Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics

Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare stocklists and fabrication materials for site use

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure code-compliant designs

Support proposal development and technical documentation, including maintenance manuals and test procedures

Address fabrication, installation, and inspection needs as part of a collaborative project lifecycle

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and AutoCAD preferred

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, and BIM 360

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and time management abilities

Understanding of hydraulic principles and fire protection codes (NFPA, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred (but not required)

Field survey experience, including walking job sites and using ladders, is required

Compensation & Benefits :

Competitive hourly rate : $25–$45 / hour, depending on experience
