The Data Governance Analyst III partners with business and technical stakeholders to develop an understanding of the company's information assets, provide guidance on information-related issues, and to ensure the organization has the appropriate policies and processes in place related to the management and usage of business information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop control structures within a complex environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
  • Provide thought leadership and lead projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes. This includes the ability to identify and articulate downstream impacts.
  • Perform data integrity gap analysis, identifying areas where application controls are insufficient
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT
  • Spearhead working sessions with technical resources and business users, providing thought leadership to clearly articulate business requirements
  • Work with data stewards and technology to identify, develop and monitor comprehensive data quality and integrity rules and alerts for key metrics and critical data elements
  • Lead working sessions with the business to evaluate data quality standards, including the cost of quality
  • Mentor more junior Data Governance Analysts on data content, uses and quality
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in master data management, metadata management, and data governance operations
  • Configure and administer Master Data Management (MDM) toolset. Provide advanced level support and problem resolution for MDM and reporting tools
  • Implement rollout plans for data reporting tools, which involves training end users and helping secure the ongoing buy-in and use of the system
  • Lead MDM toolset testing efforts

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years data quality or similar level data analysis experience required
  • MDM or ERP implementation experience
  • COMPETENCIES :

  • Advanced facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
  • Expertise in business processes for multiple domains such as Payables, Receivables, Finance, Product, etc.
  • Strong understanding of databases and data structures
  • Expert critical thinking skills
  • Ability to summarize complex issues in written form to facilitate thought leading discussions
  • Exercises advanced level of professionalism, judgment and discretion
  • Drive accountability within the Data Governance Organization
  • Ability to compare technologies and make recommendations to senior members of the team
  • Expert level SQL query skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience querying and merging data from various database types
  • High proficiency and mentors others on the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Visio

  • In addition to the salary amount listed, this position is also eligible to earn a performance based bonus on an annual basis. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on individual performance and annual year-end evaluation, overall company success, and terms and conditions of the Company’s active bonus policy for the respective year.
