Security Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Conduct threat modeling, architecture review, security code review, security assessment, penetration testing (web application, native application, web services, cloud-based services, and infrastructure assessments);
• Perform cloud infrastructure review from a security perspective, focusing on AWS and its common service components such as S3, IAM, EC2, VPC;
• Perform in-depth security review of new Zoom features, identifying vulnerabilities (OWASP top ten, NVD issues, RCE), reviewing code in Java or C++, and verifying security through pen-tests using tools like Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Checkmarx, WebInspect;
• Identify gaps in existing cloud security architecture and recommend changes (authentication, authorization, network segmentation, container configuration, bastion host setup);
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to integrate mitigation controls into CI / CD pipelines;
• Develop security baselines for cloud, container, and application security, integrating them into CI / CD processes;
• Implement security architecture, methods, and controls to meet security, compliance, and audit standards (NIST, SOC2).

Telecommuting work arrangement permitted : position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Additional Information :

Salary Range : $211,260 - $271,200, plus benefits and total direct compensation including bonus and equity. Starting pay depends on qualifications and experience. Location-based variations may apply.
