Join us at the (VMBS) as an Administrative Associate II! As an Administrative Associate II, you play a crucial role in the diagnostic lab ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service. Your role is pivotal in supporting veterinarians as they diagnose complex conditions in patients, maintaining the integrity and high standards of our services. From data processing and customer communication to handling biological samples and office support, your expansive responsibilities contribute significantly to the lab's success.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education : High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience : Two years of experience in general office or clerical work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Basic computer skills. Ability to deliver or pick up supplies.

Responsibilities
Data Processing : Performs data entry as pertaining to sample submissions, client accounts and billing information. Utilizes office documents / templates for day-to-day activities. Verifies forms and reports created for sample submission and billing purposes. Ensures completeness and accuracy of documents.
Customer Service : Communicates with clients via phone and email. Answers and directs telephone calls to the appropriate personnel. Composes correspondence for diagnostic laboratory purposes. Provides general information to clients. Communicates policies and procedures to internal and external clients. Works closely with accounting department in resolving billing discrepancies.
Laboratory Shipping and Receiving : Travels to FedEx distribution facility daily. Picks up and delivers sample packages as needed from various facilities on campus. Some minor handling of biological samples (sorting) in which a lab coat and gloves are required.
Office Support : Performs word processing and data management activities and assists staff and researchers with the use of these applications. Evaluates incoming mail, correspondence, and inquiries. Communicates GI Lab policies and procedures to clients via phone and email correspondence. Creates new customer accounts and troubleshoots client database issues.
Maintenance : Maintains office supply inventory. Printing and equipment maintenance.
