ELS is hiring for the position of Business Analyst in Orlando, Florida.

What You'll Do

We are looking to create a position of  Business Analyst . This position will act as the key interface between the users and the project manager to gather information, document processes, and confirm the final documents with users. The main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. This position will need to understand business user needs and how the software functions. Below is a more detailed list of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Business AnalysisConducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methodsWorks closely with division leaders to understand reporting requirements and assist in developing custom reportingWorks with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirementsResearches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processesDevelops and utilizes standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and conciselyTranslates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers / project teamConducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findingsCreates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and / or the project teamDevelops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpretedManages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessaryCommunicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understoodEnsure solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Project and Process SupportUpdating, implementing, and maintaining proceduresMonitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projectsWorks closely with operations to create, modify and maintain company-wide workflows, best practices, custom reporting, and all other related proceduresBe a cross functional expert, learn the processes and solutions for each department and become a driver for continual process improvements and problem solvingWorks with users to find new and better ways to use the systems
• Issue ManagementActs as an escalation point to ensure users questions are addressed or tickets submitted .Tracks, documents, and resolves user requests and requirements utilizing the support center call tracking software.Gathers information and reports on user support issues, trends, and other areas factors related to support issues, and works with appropriate team members to assist in developing solutions that enable greater efficiency and effectiveness.Provides timely responses in a professional, customer service-oriented fashion that resolves core issues as efficiently as possible.Documents the solutions to common issues for user reference and provide content to be loaded into Repository.Works with software providers and effected parties to develop and implement solutions for issues.
• System updates / trainingCollaborate in the planning, development and implementation of training modules and enhancements.Work to ensure software updates are tested, completed, and changes are communicated throughout our organization.Participates in testing and evaluating new applications, systems enhancements, programming upgrades, and other systems and applications improvements.Assists with small group training on systems applications, as necessary.Maintain expert-level knowledge for core software systems by attending training webinars, studying knowledge base documentation, and keeping up with new product releases.Manage and execute system and software related requirements for acquisitions, dispositions, and new developments to ensure successful transitions.Evaluate product offerings and make recommendations to improve best practices to keep up with current market trends and changes regularly.Educate and train users on system applications and any functionality changes resulting from system upgrades.Engage and seek out professional associations and local networking opportunities to expand systems knowledge and attend applicable conferences as directed.Documents the processes, develops check lists, pushes for automation, mentors staff in the best utilization of the system and functions.
