About the Role

Wet processing plays a significant role in Stellar’s manufacturing operation. The environment is a mix of Semiconductor and Printed Circuit Board manufacturing. The Senior Wet Processing Engineer is responsible for improving and maintaining existing wet processing stations and processes. These processes include vertical and conveyorized etching, coating, plating, and cleaning / drying of parts. The equipment used ranges from off-the-shelf to fully customized workstations.

What You Get to Do

  • Support all existing wet process stations with technical know-how, from theoretical to hands-on
  • Develop new and improve existing process control plans and training protocols
  • Analyze areas for improvement and develop proposals to improve yield and throughput
  • Develop requirements for, obtain vendor proposals, and introduce into manufacturing new equipment and processes
  • Troubleshoot processes, lead non-confirming products, and continuous improvement projects
  • Manage multiple large projects; plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate phases from inception to manufacturing acceptance
  • Work under minimal supervision

About You

  • Preferably a Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or similar
  • Ten or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Process Engineer
  • Focus on etching, coating, and cleaning with wet methods, and the required process control methodologies
  • Plating experience is a plus, specifically ENIG / ENEPIG
  • Experience with wet processing equipment, from procurement to developing maintenance requirements
  • Familiarity with process control and automation hardware
  • Strong expertise with statistical analysis tools
  • Ability to manage multiple project / activity deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of stakeholders
