Job Title : Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support back to front audit procedures, help revise and edit quality standards and procedures, and manage quality communication with key stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, and quality. This role involves supporting the transition to SQF standards and guiding team members on SQF and food safety regulations along with HACCP and GMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support back to front audit procedures.
  • Revise and edit quality standards and procedures.
  • Manage quality communication with various key stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Support the transition to SQF standards.
  • Enforce and guide team members on SQF, food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP standards.

Essential Skills

  • Quality assurance expertise.
  • Experience with SQF, HACCP, audit preparation.
  • Knowledge in safe quality food and food testing.
  • Proficiency in GMP and SOP.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS in a life science or food science.
  • 5-10 years working in a quality setting within a food environment.
  • Experience as SQF practitioner for 2+ years.
  • Work Environment

    The Quality Assurance Specialist will work 100% onsite, five days a week, due to the need for high communication across team members. The position is within the Quality Group, with a first shift schedule from 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, Monday to Friday. A high degree of communication skills is essential.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr.
