Job Title : Facilities Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Electrician to support a highly automated distribution center. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems that power advanced material handling equipment, robotics, and building infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial automation, a commitment to preventive maintenance, and an Oregon Maintenance Electrician License.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for facility infrastructure and automated equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime in a 24 / 7 automated environment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with controls engineers and automation technicians to support system upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and electrical system performance.
  • Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting and facilities maintenance
  • Experience with pneumatics and PLC maintenance
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance
  • Proficiency in wiring and maintenance techniques
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred
  • State or local electrician’s license required
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or distribution facility electrical maintenance preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, VFDs, and motor controls
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred) and industrial automation systems
  • Ability to work with high-voltage systems and follow lockout / tagout procedures
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated areas

    The role is based in a highly automated distribution center featuring conveyors, robotics, and advanced material handling systems. This fast-paced, 24 / 7 operation requires flexibility for shifts and on-call support. Employees will be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Permanent position based out of Gresham, Oregon.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $124800.00 / yr.
