Location : Sierra Vista, AZ (local candidates preferred; hybrid schedule possible for strong remote candidates able to commute to Sierra Vista twice a week)

Reports To : Chief Financial Officer

Salary Depends on Experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our dispersed accounting team. This role leads the day-to-day financial operations, with a strong focus on leadership, technology, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership : Lead a geographically distributed team, fostering career growth and developing individual leadership and team skills.
  • Financial Reporting : Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant; oversee the company’s annual audit process.
  • Operational Excellence : Maintain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and a high level of service to business units, customers, and leadership.
  • Technology & Innovation : Leverage financial systems and technology to drive efficiency and ease of access to information.
  • Banking & Controls : Manage banking and financial platforms, execution of internal controls, and financial policies.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance : Maintain best practices for handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Financial Analysis : Provide metrics, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Controller.
  • Track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on leadership style.
  • Success with change management.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
