job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists. Read and interpret blueprints, planning’s sketches for material prep and assembly operations. Set-up simple fixtures, stops, and other aids to facilitate operation. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Perform in process inspections on parts and assemblies; verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S standards. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Assist in proof load and other testing operations, as required. Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding inspection criteria and results. Provide feedback to supervision regarding cycle times and suggest changes to improve productivity and part accuracy. Conform to all requirements of our Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example). Document actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

7 : 00-3 : 30 M-F
1st shift offers four work schedules with flexible start / end times. Work 8-hour days five days a week, 10-hour days four days a week (Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday), or 9-hour days four days a week and a half-day on Friday.
2nd shift
2nd 2 : 30-1 : 00am M-R
Training, Skills, Knowledge and / or Experience :
- Math skills – minimum high school arithmetic
- Blueprint reading skills
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to Detail
- Good and dependable attendance.
Basic Functions and Scope of Responsibilities :
Within the framework of policies and procedures, the Mechanical Assembler position will have the authority and responsibility to perform material prep, finishing, and assembly operations within tolerances and planning estimates. This position also produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. The mission of this job is to provide service to all areas while striving to improve processes of the company.
