Position Summary
The Field Operations Manager oversees all Field and Shop operations at Mr. Crane, driving operational excellence, safety, and resource utilization across jobsites. This role is instrumental in coaching, mentoring, and directing team leaders and their personnel to align operations with business objectives while instilling a culture of safety, efficiency, and proactive project planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Senior Dispatcher

Supervisory : Ability to lead and coach teams to meet production and quality standards.
Administrative & Operational : Able to prioritize, delegate, and implement operational initiatives effectively.

Safety-Oriented : Demonstrated track record of instilling and upholding safety-first culture in field operations.
Strategic : Forward-thinking and capable of implementing change to support company growth.
Communication : Clear, direct communication across all levels and external parties including vendors, customers, and union reps.

Financial Acumen : Ability to read budgets, manage operating costs, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Technology : Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and integrated systems relevant to operations and logistics.
Interpersonal Style : Approachable, credible, and resilient in high-stakes situations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or University or equivalent, relevant work experience.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5–7 years of management experience in field operations, preferably in heavy equipment, crane rental, or construction environments.
LICENSE
Valid Driver’s License
CDL-A and Crane Operator’s License (to step in when needed in emergency situations).
