About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Medical Oncologist
  • Job Type : Permanent (Full-Time)
  • Location : Mountain Home, AR
  • Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient Cancer Center
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Weekday clinic and hospital responsibilities
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : 1 : 4 call rotation
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 4
  • Call Response Time : As required for inpatient oncology needs

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Adults with cancer diagnoses
  • Patient Volume / Census : To be determined; shared with 1 physician and 1 APP
  • Case Mix : General medical oncology and hematology

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • On-Site Services : - Laboratory - Imaging (CT, PET, X-Ray, Ultrasound) - On-site Pharmacy - Infusion Services - Radiation Oncology
  • Support Staff Available : 1 Physician and 1 Advanced Practice Provider

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

  • Salary : Competitive base salary plus production bonus

  • Diagnosis and management of cancer and hematologic disorders
  • Administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies
  • Coordination with infusion and radiation oncology teams

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certifications : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
  • Experience : Preferred but open to new graduates
  • Other Qualifications : - Excellent multidisciplinary collaboration skills - Commitment to compassionate and evidence-based cancer care

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient oncology services
  • Collaborate with infusion, radiation, pharmacy, and imaging teams
  • Participate in call rotation (1 : 4)
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives in cancer care
  • Contribute to program growth and community outreach at Baxter Health
