Entergys Transmission Department is responsible for planning designing constructing maintaining and operating over 15000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory.

Intern Job Description :

Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to :

• Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
• Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations
• Preparing operational one-line drawings
• Validate estimating prices and equipment unitsensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects
• Managing projects that are in construction
• Completion of as-built documentation
• Participate in weekly planning coordination calls
• Work on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
• Responding to equipment failures
• Support lab testing and operations
• Transmission Substation and Line database management
• Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning economic analysis maintenance design project management and construction and operations
• Travel may be required for the position

Education Requirements :

Must be actively pursuing a bachelors masters or doctorate degree as indicated above
