Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing all marketing, communications, and event initiatives for both Opportunity Stanislaus and VOLT Institute. This role provides strategic direction to market the two organizations, both jointly and independently, while managing a dedicated team aligned to each brand. The position leads community engagement efforts, drives the development of new programs, and ensures consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms. The Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the community to enhance brand visibility, strengthen organizational impact, and support long-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that effectively promote Opportunity Stanislaus and VOLT Institute, both independently and in partnership.
• Manage and maintain organizational websites, ensuring timely updates, engaging content, and consistent brand presentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop marketing and communications staff, fostering collaboration and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute key events, including Celebrate the Central Valley, Investor Meeting, VOLT Graduation, Central Valley Business Expo, and other community engagement initiatives.
• Oversee all communications, including press releases, newsletters, social media, advertising, and promotional materials.
• Design and produce marketing assets for video, print, digital platforms, and branded merchandise to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Implement, manage, and optimize marketing technology platforms, including Salesforce, Active Campaign, and various social media management tools.
• Collaborate with investors, community partners, and stakeholders to identify workforce training needs and implement strategic solutions.
• Track and analyze performance metrics, adjusting strategies to maximize effectiveness and impact.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
• Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the Company. If attendance is required, it will be compensated in accordance with wage and hour laws.
• Serve as a professional representative of Opportunity Stanislaus and VOLT Institute when interacting with community members and stakeholders.
• This role may require occasional driving on company business. A valid drivers license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation are required, with reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
• Comply with all Opportunity Stanislaus and VOLT Institute policies and procedures, including but not limited to workplace safety, reporting work-related injuries, infection control, and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients, and others.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the successful performance of this role. Reasonable flexibility is provided in accordance with applicable leave laws.
