Job Title : Controller

Location : Addison / Geneva, Illinois

Reports to : CFO

Department : Finance & Accounting

Job Purpose

The Controller is responsible for leading all aspects of financial management, accounting operations, and reporting across the organization. This role ensures timely, accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with U.S. regulatory standards, and supports strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.

Manage general ledger functions, AR / AP, payroll, tax compliance, and statutory reporting across multiple countries.

Design and implement BOM structures and establish accounting systems.

Perform cost evaluations and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis to support decision-making.

Implement and oversee budget controls to ensure financial discipline.

Coordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with country-specific financial and tax regulations.

Implement and maintain robust internal controls across operations.

Act as primary liaison with external auditors and oversee audits.

Develop and standardize accounting policies and procedures.

Monitor currency impacts, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing practices.

Support treasury, cash management, and foreign exchange exposure analysis.

Provide financial insights and business partnership to regional and leadership.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, with 3+ years significant hands-on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of US GAAP / IFRS and manufacturing accounting practices.

Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Fluency in English required.
