About the Role :

Our Credit Union is looking for an analytical and innovative Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will help unlock actionable insights from complex data to support strategic decision-making, improve member services, and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities :

Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from internal and external sources.

Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

Build dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders across departments.

Collaborate with business units to design experiments and measure the impact of strategic initiatives.

Create and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve member experience, fraud prevention, lending strategies, and other core services.

Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in data science and financial analytics.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in a data science, data analytics, or similar quantitative role (experience in the banking or credit union industry is a plus).

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

Strong experience with SQL and data visualization tools (, Tableau, Power BI).

Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
