Main Purpose of Job
The incumbent in this position will serve as the Environmental Program Manager I (Division Chief) responsible for planning directing developing and implementing the activities of the Field Services Division within ARMAs Air Quality Compliance Program. The Environmental Program Manager I will provide managerial oversight for a statewide program ensuring compliance with air quality regulations at sources of air pollution. The incumbent will manage the program through subordinate supervisors and ensure consistent enforcement and implementation of air quality standards across the state.
The working conditions of this position involve exposure to uncomfortable or unpleasant surroundings. The incumbent may be exposed to unpleasant odors may need to walk through muddy / messy conditions and / or exposed to industrial conditions when conducting occasional field work. This position also requires the use of protective equipment such as goggles gloves masks etc. during site visits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university including 30 credit hours in engineering or the biological environmental or physical sciences.
Experience : Three years of experience supervising a professional staff or as a project supervisor in theAir and Radiation Management field of work.

PERSONAL LEAVE - New State employees are awarded six (6) personal leave days annually (prorated based on start date).
