Design Management Associate
The Design Management Associate is a multi-talented professional that understands architectural construction documents, generates design guidelines and standards, effectively communicates design requirements and project scope to architects, closely tracks budgets and schedules, contributes to the creation of facilities implementation plan documents through superb written work, is comfortable using design skills to generate appropriate solutions to complex problems, and is capable of presenting to large groups and public officials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Design Management Associate are as follows :
- Maintain appropriate design guidelines, specifications, and standards for multiple school districts across the State
- Conduct design meetings with architects, engineers, and additional consultants during schematic design, design development, construction document, and Division of the State Architect (DSA) submittal phases
- Present design and planning documents to agencies, school district representatives, and community members
- Assess school capital program needs, including facilities, infrastructure, technology, and other relevant programs
- Efficiently write, design, assemble, and edit original content for clients through a process-driven planning approach focused on improving the learning environments and the functionality of school sites
- The Design Management Associate will collect data, perform analyses, formulate plan documents, and produce implementation materials as well as prepare and analyze reports, studies, findings, letters, memos, public notices, etc., as needed to support CFW operations or client needs
- Represent CFW at public meetings, participate in planning activities with other CFW team members, and consult with appropriately assigned state agencies and consultants as needed to effectively execute services to clients
- Under supervision, develop and standardize templates, style-guides, models, and written procedures as needed
