About The Position
Job Title : Cardiovascular Technologist

License : Required Radiologic Technologist License
Certifications : Required ARRT-R, CPR or BLS, ACLS
Must-Have : Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist experience
Description :
Aids physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders.
Conducts invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
Operates x-ray and physiological equipment.
Assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Maintains equipment and records test results.
Operates all special procedure equipment and modifies technical factors as needed.
Acts as a resource for specialized or complicated procedures.
Consistently applies knowledge from complex situations to improve practice and shares improvements with team members.
Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures.
Provides protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
Uses collimation, patient radiation protection, and immobilization methods.
Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures.
Regularly practices aseptic techniques and strictly follows infection control procedures.
Operates, records, and maintains physiologic equipment in accordance with established clinical cardiovascular procedures.
Responsible for all cardiac catheterization equipment and reports any malfunctions.
Practices preventive maintenance procedures and demonstrates basic troubleshooting abilities.
Assists physicians during special procedures and in the administration of opaque media.
Completes appropriate forms at the start and end of procedures.
Charges are recorded accurately.
Performs general office duties as requested.
Keeps the area stocked and cleans and disinfects equipment after each patient use.
Cleans the special procedures room daily.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Commits to safety and wellbeing per organizational requirements.
