Gustav's in Vancouver is looking to add a few new hospitality professionals to our amazing team. The search is on for servers who can deliver a truly excellent guest experience, curated to each individual table.

Gustav's is a locally owned German Restaurant that has become an institution in the Portland / Vancouver area for the last 30 years. Quality food has always been a focus at Gustav's since its inception and we are looking for like-minded professionals to keep that spirit alive!

NW Hospitality Group has recently acquired the legendary Gustav's with the intention of keeping the restaurant around for years to come! You may know us from our other local establishments, Amaro's Table and Cecilia. We are excited to take on this new venture and are looking for hospitality and culinary professionals to join our team!  Our brand is already known for our impeccable service, delicious food and an amazing beverage programs.

Our servers must be very knowledgeable about our food, wine, beer and cocktails, so an eagerness to learn is very important to us.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about service and loves to share that passion by going above and beyond for our guests. A natural-people-person with an eye for the details. You are looking to join a hard-working and efficient team that cares about great food and guest experience.

Responsibilities and Qualifications :

  • Take orders and deliver all beverages in a timely fashion
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of your section
  • Running food whenever needed to both your tables and your teammates
  • Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner
  • Our ideal candidate has previous experience in the hospitality industry and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate should have an interest in learning about beer and spirits. - Prior knowledge of food / wine / beverage is a huge plus, but the desire to learn and grow with us is even more important.
  • We are looking for an individual who works well with others and strives towards the success of the entire team.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • We appreciate servers who can course out meals and understand the importance of timing.
  • We value those who uphold a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Foremost, the ability to provide professional and friendly service to our guests is paramount.
  • Open availability and schedule flexibility is a bonus.
