Job Summary

The City of Minneapoliss Step Up Program connects Minneapolis young people (ages 14-21) with Twin Cities employers through paid internships that build careers and lead to a stronger workforce. Since 2003 Step Up has created over 34000 high-quality internship opportunities. Step Up builds hope for the future by investing in the young people who will power our communities for decades to come. It expands horizons bolsters resumes and connects youth to the places and people who will help them get where they want to be.

The Step Up Coordinator provides operational logistical and administrative support to ensure the smooth implementation of the Step Up youth internship program. This role bridges communications between youth employers and program staff; maintains accurate data across multiple systems; and supports intake orientation and placement processes for approximately 3000 applicants and 600800 internship matches annually.

The Step Up Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that both youth and employer participants have a well-organized responsive and equitable experience throughout the Step Up cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support implementation of Step Up program activities under the direction of program leadership
• Assist with the coordination and staffing of 810 in-person orientation sessions for youth and families ensuring all logistical details
• Manage participant communications through phone email and mass messaging platforms
• Support scheduling and coordination for mock interviews intake sessions and placement days
• Maintain accurate and timely records in Launchpad WorkForce One (WF1) and related systems (e.g. CRM Infinite Campus)
• Assist with compiling reports dashboards and metrics for weekly and quarterly updates to program leadership
• Track completion of participant forms supervisor evaluations and training outcomes
• Provide in person support to outreach events including Orientations Onboarding Days and Professional Development Days; some evenings and weekends required as needed

Salary / Hours : Full Time / Exempt : $36000-$45000 / annually Exempt. DOQ
