Senior Asset & Liability Analyst

Our client, a well-capitalized organization in the Dallas Market is looking for a Senior Asset & Liability Analyst. Although technically hybrid remote you need to live in the Dallas Fort Worth Market and be in the office one day per week. The other four days you can work from home.
Our client boasts a strong team of Treasury professionals over ALM and Liquidity that will serve as very strong coaches and mentors for you as you continue to move your career along. Your supervisor, a tenured ALM Consultant, has a strong background in ALM and Balance Sheet Strategy and is a seasoned coach and mentor.
The ideal persons skill set for this position includes having a strong understanding of balance sheet management as you get up to speed on the ZM Desk financial ALM Model. It will start tactically as you are in charge of data integrity for the model and reconciling to the GL, however, the role becomes more strategic as you work with the ALM Manager on Assumptions and ultimately from a quarterly cycle of reporting to a monthly forecast. You help with the enhancement of key balance sheet strategies while keeping an eye on risk, liquidity, and capital. You will be a key participant in running and maintaining the Asset & Liability model, as well as supporting the quantitative and analytical needs of market risk management through your knowledge of Interest Rate Risk (IRR), primarily Earnings at Risk (EAR) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE). This will be key. This will help ensure proper economic and accounting value approaches are incorporated into modeling and the ongoing maintenance of prepayment forecasts and runoffs.
The organization is growing incredibly rapidly and they are looking for someone that can grow with them. You must be able to articulate ideas in laymens terms and interface cross functionally across the organization in a style thats appropriate. In the future, you will be participating in ALCO and other committees.
Additional relevant opportunities that will present themselves down the road include participating in the companys budgeting and earnings and capital forecasting, loan pricing models, and maintaining FTP processes, amongst other things.
We are asking that you have a minimum of three years of Asset & Liability Management experience within a bank or credit union, financial services company, or a firm that deals with banks or credit unions. A bachelors degree in finance or related field and experience working with databases (SQL) or data management is desired as well.
