Working at our McAllen Facility

The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You'll find state-of-the-art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab.

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and improving manufacturing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering concepts, methods, and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead repair industrializations, investigate new technologies, and resolve technical challenges. This is a full-time, on-site role based in McAllen, TX, with occasional support for off-shifts and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and track repair industrializations aligned with repair readiness levels.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and operations to ensure process improvements.
  • Investigate, develop, and apply new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Communicate with direct teams and supervisors, presenting metrics, project status, and research findings.
  • Work on cross-functional teams to drive project success.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. They thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about driving innovation in manufacturing processes.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing).
  • Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Eligibility Requirements :

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees, and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Additional Information :

  • Full-time position with 40 scheduled weekly hours.
  • Work shift : 1st Shift (United States of America).
  • Background and drug screening required.

    Compensation Grade

    This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
