Job Title : Software Developer

Engagement Term : 18 Months (Contract)

Work Location : 100% Remote

Position Overview :

A government or education-focused organization is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to provide development and operational support for the Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP) application and its related systems. This is a fully remote position with a long-term engagement of 18 months.

Key Responsibilities :

Support and enhance the Oracle SFP application, including associated configurations, integrations, reports, and ancillary tools.
Analyze and reverse-engineer existing code, scripts, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation.
Modify and develop Groovy and SQL scripts, as well as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, to implement enhancements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes, including operational guides.
Manage tasks and requests via Jira ticketing system in collaboration with technical and project teams.

Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable) :

Groovy scripting

MS SQL or Oracle SQL

Software development & operational support experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience with the Following Technologies / Tools :

Oracle SFP

Java

Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP)

Oracle Fusion framework

Enterprise job schedulers

Production support and incident management

Financial Aid systems

Oracle ecosystem (including APEX and Autonomous Transaction Processing)

Tableau development

GitHub

Higher Education systems

Jira for ticket and task management
