Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team in Santa Clara, CA. The RN will provide expert critical care to post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients, ensuring safe and compassionate care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care and clinical monitoring for critically ill cardiovascular patients.

Administer medications, manage ventilators, and monitor invasive hemodynamic lines.

Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records.

Follow hospital protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience in a CVICU (within the last 3 years).

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Active RN license in the state of California (or compact equivalent).

Current certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.

Experience in Progressive Care (PCU) or Intermediate Care Unit preferred.

NIH Stroke Scale and PALS certifications a plus.
