Position Overview

Zelis Data Intelligence (ZDI), an enterprise team at Zelis, is seeking a driven and analytical Technical Product Analyst to join our product team. As a Technical Product Analyst in an internal facing role, you will support our engineering teams in organizing, analyzing and delivering on AI and discovery projects. You’ll be a key translator between business and engineering, gathering requirements, communicating status and timelines, and unblocking issues.

We are looking for someone with data analysis and software experience, with an interest in growing into a more product focused role to help Zelis deliver on its roadmap. This role requires a patient and logical thinker and communicator, with an aptitude for technical understanding of complex systems.

What you'll do :

Become an expert in your product areas, acting as the go to person for other stakeholders before speaking to the technical data and software engineering teams

Draft clear and concise business requirements and technical product documentation

Understand the AI space, educating others across the company on requirements and guidelines for setting up GenAI, ML, and API based projects

Support writing of clear user stories and tasks with Engineering teams to track ongoing and upcoming work

Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists and other product teams to scope new or refine existing product features and data capabilities that increase business value, adoption, and user engagement

Track project status and help ensure timelines are consistently updated. Follow up with technical teams on roadblocks and to-dos

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry, including its regulatory environment, key stakeholders, and market trends, while gaining expertise in healthcare data management, analysis, and interpretation

Understand how your product area links into the wider company road map and be able to educate internal teams on the vision of the org

Build and track key performance indicators to evaluate product success

What you'll bring to Zelis :

2+ years of business analyst, data analyst, product, engineering, or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to deliver alongside technical teams

An ability to listen to diverse audiences, identify requirements, gaps and barriers, and translate needs into product features

Technical depth that enables you to collaborate with software engineers, data engineers and data scientists and drive technical discussions about design of data visualizations, data models, ETLs, deployment of data infrastructure

Possess strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as explicit and mindful written communication skills

Strong understanding of Data Management, Data Engineering, API development, Cloud Engineering, Advanced Analytics, Data Science, ML, GenAI, NLP, and Product Analytics concepts and other data / product tools such as SQL, Python, R, Spark, AWS, Azure, Airflow, Snowflake, and PowerBI

Well-versed in Agile frameworks and product tools such as Jira and Confluence

Open to candidates with either B2B or B2C experience and outside the healthcare industry; critical to success in this role is being intellectually curious, a self-starter, and excitement about building data products
