Description

POSITION SUMMARY : The Accounts Receivable Clerk is primarily responsible for overseeing accounts receivable and payable statements, maintaining, and following-up on past due accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Submit extended warranty claims & cancellations; follow-up on payments.
• Assist in posting accounts payable invoices.
• Close, post and file internals.
• Post vendor invoices as needed and ensure timely payment of amounts due to vendors.
• Post invoices and credit memos from the manufacturer when received.
• Review sublet schedule as needed to ensure proper posting of sublet items.
• File payables daily.
• Pay vendors by the 10th of each month
• Assist in month-end close as needed
• Post and file daily cash receipts from car deals and payments on account.
• Ensure accounts receivable schedule is current.
• Call all past due customers when necessary.
• Print and mail accounts receivable statements on the 25th of each month
• Process any check requests as needed.
• Generate reports to detailing paid and unpaid invoices as well as other accounts receivable activity.
• Verify all invoices are posted to proper accounts in accordance with company accounting policies.
• Submits accounts to collections after sufficient research into account.
• Performs background checks on credit applications and make recommendations to management
• Update customers’ account information.
