Sr. Linux Administrator

Seeking a System Administrator to join their team. The role manages the design, installation, upgrade, and maintenance of virtual server platforms and operating systems. This includes a proven ability to execute system upgrades, keep current patch levels, and troubleshoot complex issues as they arise. The candidate must have a proven history of administering Windows and Linux in a virtualized environment.

The individual should also be able to support the full product lifecycle from rack and stack to the final decommissioning of assets. Requires a minimum of 5 years experience performing similar duties in an environment using the same or similar client hardware and software.

• Strong Linux skills.
• Experience building servers.
• Experience with automation platform, Ansible preferred but not required. Will learn it.
• Any scripting also helpful.

This position also requires that you be available on-call 24 / 7 on a rotational basis. Alternate work schedules are also needed.

Experience for this role is as follows :

1.Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience or equivalent industry certifications in the area of expertise (Red Hat, Microsoft, COMPTIA).

2. Experience with Windows Server operating systems

3. Experience administering Exchange Online

4. Experience with PowerApps forms, and Azure DevOps

5. Experience administering Cisco UCS blade server hardware.

6. Experience administering Cloud Infrastructure

7. Conceptual knowledge of ITIL

8. Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, service requests, and incidents.

9. Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds or equipment as needed.

10. Must be a self-starter with ambition and a positive attitude.

11. Experience working in mid-size production environments with familiarity of ITIL guidelines surrounding change management, incident response, problem management, and request fulfilment.

12. The following Certifications are a plus : Linux, Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, ITIL v4
