Grants Analyst II - Finance

About the Job : In this role you will assisting in the facilitation acceptance and tracking of grants used by the City of Colorado Springs in addition to other tasks as assigned by the Grants Manager.

Job Type : Full Time

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (8 hours per day)

Work Location : City Administration Building (30 S Nevada Ave. Colorado Springs CO 80903)

As an Analyst II you will :

• Perform all functions of grant management for externally funded grant awards
• Support the pre-award function and application development
• Facilitate the acceptance of grant awards
• Prepare analyze and / or audit financial records and documents
• Maintain and update data in PeopleSoft Grants and other related modules
• Monitor grant revenues and expenditures; ensure transactions are properly recorded in the Citys financial accounting system
• Research and analyze data for accuracy trends and variances to ensure City practices and procedures have been followed; ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
• Prepare and file monthly quarterly or annual grant reports and / or requests for reimbursements
• Analyze grant budgets; set up appropriate line items for compatibility with accounting systems; and analyze and maximize the utilization of grant funds
• Assist with other grant related projects as needed
