Mid-level Environmental Planner

AECOM  has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Environmental Planner (Environmental Planner III) professional to join our Environmental Planning team in the western US. We serve numerous Department of Defense clients delivering a variety of environmental management planning and infrastructure projects. We specialize in high-visibility complex projects that provide our senior staff with opportunities to grow.

In this role you will coordinate project teams to prepare environmental analysis and permitting documents with a particular focus on our growing line of work with U.S. Department of Defense clients.

The responsibilities of this role would include but are not limited to :

• Work with clients to develop solutions to achieve their goals.
• Deputy Project management including coordination with clients technical staff and subconsultants.
• Serve as a Deputy Project Manager on mid-size and large environmental compliance projects particularly high-profile Department of Defense infrastructure and planning projects and similar projects for other federal clients as needed.
• Oversee the work of early career staff and mentor others.
• Contribute to marketing and business development preparation of proposals and formulating proposal cost estimates.
• Attend and / or present at project and public meetings and assist in preparing meeting materials and compiling meeting results including PowerPoint presentations and other materials.
• Participate in professional associations / events relevant to the industry.
• Interpret and apply applicable government codes ordinances and regulations.
• Manage and prepare both federal and state environmental documents as well as managing permitting activities for these projects.
